Do you want to be the person who makes an entire railway system work seamlessly? As a Signalling Project Manager Engineer at Buhlmann, you act as a technical consultant: you analyse procedures, detect design errors, advise the project team, and serve as the final checkpoint ensuring that an installation is safe, correct and operational. A role with major responsibility, visible impact and real influence on decisions — perfect for engineers who want to make a meaningful difference. About BUHLMANN N.V. For over 70 years, BUHLMANN N.V. has been a trusted player in railway systems and signalling in Belgium. We stand out through deep technical expertise, a strong hands-on mentality, and a problem-solving mindset. What you will do Manage technical projects in railway engineering, electromechanics, and signaling from design to delivery. Coordinate internal teams (engineering, site teams, maintenance, administration) and external partners such as Pintsch and Hanning-Kahl. Lead site meetings, monitor schedules and deadlines, and ensure compliance with quality, budget, and contractual agreements. Oversee the realization of prototypes, testing, assembly, and commissioning. Analyze technical issues and provide support for malfunctions, maintenance, and optimizations during the warranty period or in operation. Contribute to continuous improvement regarding ISO, VCA, safety, and site efficiency. Spend regular time on-site or in maintenance facilities, not just behind a desk. How you work: In a flat organization with fast decision-making. With short communication lines and daily collaboration with technical teams. With autonomy, supported during the onboarding period and regular alignment with management. Who you collaborate with Internal engineers, site managers, assembly and maintenance technicians Administration and planning teams International suppliers and technology partners 90% of your work takes place in Belgium, with supplier or site visits in Western Europe (±10%). At least 5 years of experience in project management or technical projects, preferably in electromechanical installations, automation, or industrial systems, with responsibility for coordination, planning, execution, and maintenance. Skills Strong technical understanding of electromechanics, electrical installations, signalling, or industrial automation. Excellent communication skills and customer focus. Benefits A versatile technical position with responsibility and autonomy. Career growth path towards Senior Project Manager or Technical Director. Intensive internal training and skill development in railway systems and signalling. Stable employer with strong growth and modernization. Competitive salary with fringe benefits, company car, laptop, and smartphone. Collaboration with industry leaders such as Pintsch and Hanning-Kahl.
