The Role

You’ll be the first dedicated OT Security hire, owning the OT cyber agenda end-to-end and creating the roadmap, governance, and controls that protect production environments across multiple global manufacturing sites. This role will begin as an individual contributor, but will develop into a full OT security function under your leadership.

You will

• Define and deliver the OT security roadmap and operating model across plants
• Establish OT security governance, policies, standards, and service levels
• Secure production networks, industrial hardware, PLC environments, and industrial applications (including non-IP networks/protocols)
• Improve secure data flows between manufacturing systems (system A → system B)
• Lead OT continuity, resilience, DR planning, and failover scenarios to reduce shutdown risk
• Act as the OT security authority for local coordinators and drive consistent site-level execution
• Run and manage physical security audits across 10+ manufacturing sites

What They’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)

• OT security ownership experience in industrial environments (manufacturing, logistics, defense, etc.)
• PLC / industrial control systems understanding with real “on-the-plant-floor” exposure
• Non-IP network and industrial protocol awareness (and how that changes security controls)
• Ability to build from scratch: strategy, governance, and practical controls that won’t break production
• Experience operating in large, complex, multi-site organisations

What You’ll Work With

• OT security strategy and governance buildout (new function)
• PLC environments and industrial control systems
• Industrial hardware, production machinery, and site routing/topologies
• Vendor-heavy OT estates (e.g., Honeywell and others)
• Continuity planning, resilience design, and plant-level risk reduction

Nice to Haves

• Multi-plant rollout experience across different countries/regions
• Physical security audit experience in industrial sites
• Familiarity with OT security frameworks and practical implementation (without “IT-only” assumptions)
