Purpose of the job

As a Senior QC Technician in the Quality Control department, you will be responsible for managing deviations and OOXs. You will manage them from the moment they arise and quality records are created, through to their QA classification and closure. You will also be the point of contact for all QC members regarding these issues and the implementation of initiatives that contribute to quality improvement in QC.

Accountabilities

Key Activity

• Quality record management (Event, OOx)

• Create and monitor events and OOX within the QC department in accordance with quality requirements.

• Gather the necessary documents (test reports, reference documents, etc.).

• Monitor action items related to these quality records

• Interdepartmental communication and coordination

• Act as a quality intermediary between the test teams and the QA department.

• Work closely with QC colleagues, their supervisors and other departments (Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Product Development, etc.).

• Quality complaint management

• Contribute to the handling of quality complaints from customers.

• Continuous improvement and performance monitoring

• Support improvement projects within the QC department.

• Report on your own specific KPIs using existing or newly created tools.

• Data review

• Evaluate results and associated documentation (raw data + audit trail).

• Analyse and evaluate results against specifications and limits.

• Archive work lists.

• Leadership

• Guide junior employees in your role as a trainer and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and development within the team.

Education level

• Bachelor's degree in (bio)chemistry, (micro)biology, industrial pharmacy or biotechnology, or equivalent relevant experience.

Work experience

• 3 years' experience in an equivalent role in the pharmaceutical sector.

Skills

• You are an expert in MS Office; knowledge of SAP/MasterControl is an asset.
• You have a good command of technical English and a good knowledge of Dutch or French.
• You are meticulous and quality-conscious, and can work independently.
• You are able to manage priorities and are highly organised.
• You are communicative and confident in achieving goals as part of a team.
• You are familiar with root cause investigation tools (Ishikawa, 5 Why's, etc.).
• You are results-oriented. You have an analytical and process-oriented mind.
• You are a team player and share your knowledge and experience with colleagues beyond your own department.
