Sales Support & Engineering Manager


1. Your role


As the Sales Support & Engineering Manager at Petersime, you are responsible for coordinating the entire Sales Support and Engineering Team (Sales Support Officers, Customer Experience Officers, Hatchery Design Experts, Pre-Sales Engineering and Hatchery Layout Designers), who work from the Petersime Headquarters and Regional Centres. You are a member of the company's management team and also participate in the sales circle. This platform, in collaboration with the Sales Directors from the different markets, serves as the forum where regional business and sales plans are discussed, defined and implemented.

The Sales Support & Engineering Manager reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.


2. Job responsibilities


  • You oversee the activities of the Sales Support Team, responsible for handling incoming inquiries and requests for quotation, preparing quotations and managing order processing in accordance with strategic direction and set standards.
  • You oversee the activities of the Engineering Team, responsible for technical calculations and the design of hatcheries, including HVAC systems and turnkey solutions.
  • You organize and manage the commercial and technical support provided to the Sales Team through a dedicated team of Customer Experience Officers and Hatchery Design Experts.
  • You are responsible for the efficient operation of the entire team, by coaching and motivating the individual team members and assisting them in problem-solving and determining the right priorities.
  • You are responsible for the implementation and follow-up of the internal sales processes and initiate optimization and standardization projects with regard to our project equipment and turnkey hatchery offering, based on your and your team’s technical knowledge and practical experience. You work in close collaboration with your Management Team peers to achieve this goal.
  • You are the point of contact for the coordination of the current and future sales support and engineering activities in our Regional Centres (Brazil, China, Malaysia, Russia,...).


3. Your profile


  • You hold a master's degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You are a proven team player with the ability to lead assertively and pragmatically.
  • You are experienced in leading technical teams and in structuring processes.
  • You are required to have fluent knowledge of English.
  • Experience in an international organizational setting is a plus.
