About Our Client
Our client is an international healthcare company with manufacturing sites across Europe and a long tradition of high‑quality production. The organisation is experiencing strong growth and is investing significantly in the modernisation and optimisation of its industrial operations.
The site plays a key role and supports a diverse portfolio of products distributed internationally. To strengthen its leadership team, the company is seeking a new Site Director to lead the plant through its next phase of performance, capability building and operational excellence.
Job Description
Lead Site Operations with Full Accountability
Set and execute the site's production strategy, ensuring continuity across shifts.
Oversee formulation and packaging lines
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for the markets.
Drive Performance, Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
Lead day‑to‑day operational performance, including waste reduction, and cost optimisation.
Strengthen Lean culture and continuous improvement routines (problem‑solving, daily performance management).
Maintain high levels of safety, quality and industrial compliance.
Develop Leadership & Team Capability
Build, mentor and empower the site's leadership team (Production, Quality, Engineering, HR, Finance).
Foster a culture of autonomy, accountability, and learning.
Maintain constructive social dialogue with unions and create a positive work climate.
Industrial Investments & Infrastructure
Support an investment roadmap to modernise utilities such as air treatment, cooling, heating and process infrastructure.
Ensure equipment and installations remain qualified, validated and efficient.
Budget Management & Stakeholder Relations
Manage the site's budget and resources in line with group priorities.
Represent the site to external bodies as needed (authorities, partners), in coordination with group leadership.
Report operational KPIs and progress to senior management.
The Successful Applicant
Background & Experience
Extensive experience in manufacturing / production leadership, including Plant Manager, Site Director or Operations Director roles.
Experience in Cosmetics, Consumer Health/OTC, Food, or Pharma.
Deep understanding of batch production, liquid/semi‑solid formulations, packaging lines and shop‑floor operations.
Strong experience in unionised industrial environments.
Skills & Mindset
Highly operational, pragmatic and solution‑oriented.
Strong communication, influencing and change‑management skills.
Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement.
Ability to balance short‑term execution with long‑term optimisation.
Resilience, autonomy and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Fluent in French and English. Dutch is an asset.
