Technology Manager Methanation/Syngas generation/Reforming (m/f)

This role can be based at various locations throughout Europe and is to be filled as soon as possible.


Responsibilities


  • Subect matter expert for key technologies including Methanation, Reforming and CO2 capture
  • Screen new innovative technologies to advance our client`s technology portfolio
  • Lead and guide development of processes and technologies available for the technology portfolio: Reforming, methanation and CO2 capture technologies as well as emerging technologies
  • Support Business Development for various eNG and other projects around the world on various technical tasks
  • Perform feasibility studies for future eNG and other projects including design and optimization of plant concepts and balance sheets
  • Perform technology and engineering support for eNG and other project development including engineering documentation for permitting and preparation of Pre-FEED documentation
  • Develop and implement future standardization for standard module projects comprising several of their core technologies
  • Engage and coordinate licensors and technology providers of key technologies for project support
  • Support Pre-FEED and FEED studies including review of engineering documentation
  • Participate in process safety studies (such as HAZOPs)
  • Support Engineering and Project development through process simulations
  • Creation of process descriptions and documentation, as well as development of plant safety (HAZOP)
  • Creation of tender documents
  • Coordination of internal and external stakeholders (various specialist departments, EPCM service providers, etc.)
  • Participate in standardization work for CO2 specification and represent the companies interests
  • Support development of CO2 value chains and partners of the company on CO2 capture and CO2 quality specification
  • Train and develop knowledge among the employees about core technologies mentioned above
  • Support commissioning, start-up and operation of demonstration and commercial units


Requirements


  • Minimum Master´s Degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or comparable
  • At least five years of relevant, hands-on experience in a similar field (chemical plant engineering, oil & gas, petrochemicals, or similar)
  • Excellent knowledge of process engineering
  • Project experience throughout all engineering phases, especially in feasibility (concept) studies and (Pre-) Front-End Engineering studies
  • Expertise/In-depth knowledge in Syngas generation, Reforming (Steam Methane-Reforming, Auto-thermal Reforming) or Methanation technology required through process design/development and/or operational experience
  • In-depth knowledge of process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus or similar
  • Knowledge in Power-to-X technologies as a plus
  • Knowledge in CO2 capture technologies as a plus
  • Independent and goal-oriented working style
  • Fluent English is required
  • Availability to travel on a regular base
