Job Description - Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

As a project manager, he manages several (20) projects simultaneously.

• He is responsible for the definition, study, design of the telecommunications part of the infrastructure projects and supports the implementation of this part within the project up to the commissioning and the administrative closure of this part within the project:
• Budgetary estimate and feasibility studies
• Translating the needs initiated by the project into concrete telecom needs.
• In close consultation with the managers of the telecom infrastructure (both between the stations and within the stations), determine the correct solution and document this in a Telecom project note.
• Assisting the design team during their detailed study (drawing up of the various plans required for the construction and management of the telecom installation)
• Assisting the project manager of the overarching project during the construction phase
• He works in a multidisciplinary team (no hierarchical line, only functional) and takes into account the required and available resources;
• He reports to the project managers of the main infrastructure project;
• The project note is the basis for drawing up the tender dossiers for the telecommunications section; the note has therefore been drawn up with a focus on practical implementation and the various sub-phases have been clearly described;
• Participate in defining the new concepts and determining the framework agreements regarding the telecommunications equipment, in collaboration with the expertise department;
• Participate in pilot projects that allow to validate the new concepts as well as the telecommunications equipment used on the Belgian network and the tools linked to it;
• Close cooperation with the department responsible for the development and support of client's telecommunications backbone (the actual telecommunications network);
