What are we looking for?

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant who combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities. In this dual role, you'll not only take ownership of the accounting for selected European entities but also lead and support a team of accountants responsible for other entities across Europe.

You thrive in a hands-on environment, enjoy mentoring others, and bring a solution-oriented mindset to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Your experience in international accounting and statutory compliance will help drive operational excellence and support strategic decision-making within our broader Finance organization.

What will you do?

As Team Leader, you'll take the lead in ensuring financial excellence across several European entities. Your role will combine hands-on accounting expertise with people leadership and cross-functional collaboration. More specifically, you will:

• Own the accounting activities for the selected European entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure timely and correct closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Oversee statutory compliance, including local GAAP, VAT, and tax filings.
• Collaborate closely with the entire Finance team, i.e. Finance Support, Controlling, Treasury, Compliance, and Audit to support business growth and informed decision-making.
• Optimize accounting processes and contribute to automation or digitalization initiatives.
• Support internal and externa audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Lead, coach and coordinate a team of accountants, fostering a culture of ownership, development, and continuous improvement.

Who are you?

• You hold a degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field
• You have at least 7 years of experience in accounting, ideally in an international or multi-entity environment.
• You have a solid knowledge of general accounting principles, consolidation and statutory reporting.
• You have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• You have proven leadership skills and experience in coaching and managing a team.
• You have a hands-on, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
• You can prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• You have experience with SAP Business One and advanced Excel skills.
• You have a mindset of continuous improvement and openness to change.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of any other European languages is a plus.
