📍 Location: Belgium, Brussels (onsite as required)

OB Collective is looking for an experienced Business Analyst (Functional & Technical) to join a major energy retail transformation programme within the Belgian energy market.

You’ll play a pivotal role in reshaping meter-to-cash processes, replacing legacy SAP systems, and helping design a next-generation retail energy platform. Working closely with Product Management, Solution Architecture, and domain experts, you’ll translate business needs into clear, actionable system requirements.

💼 What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Product Managers and SMEs to elicit, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Produce high-quality Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) and user stories.
• Co-facilitate scoping and discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Analyse and optimise meter-to-cash, billing, and collections processes.
• Translate business needs into design inputs for architecture and development teams.
• Align solution design with market regulations and product strategy.
• Support the replacement of SAP legacy systems with new capabilities.
• Work across retailers and software vendors to validate functional flows.
• Maintain traceability and alignment between technical and business workstreams.
• Contribute to testing, validation, and QA activities as needed.

✅ What You Bring

• Proven Business Analyst experience in energy retail, ideally in Belgium or the EU regulated markets.
• Strong understanding of meter-to-cash, billing, and collections for residential customers.
• Hands-on experience with energy retail platforms and system design.
• Ability to bridge functional and technical domains effectively.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid documentation and analytical skills (FRDs, process maps, solution outlines).
• Experience working in product-led delivery environments.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on clarity and delivery.

🌟 Nice to Have

• French fluency (professional or native).
• Experience in an energy retailer or utilities software provider.
• Understanding of Belgian market regulations and data flows.
• Exposure to solution design and system integration.

Initial 6 month Contract - Day rate Negotiable
