Automation Test Engineer

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Python and PyTest, with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns like Page Object Model and Adapter Pattern.
• Expertise in Playwright (and familiarity with Cypress) for fast, reliable web application testing.
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and Gherkin syntax to align tests with business requirements.
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline integration via Jenkins and proficient use of Docker for containerised, reproducible test environments.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and Xray for Jira for comprehensive test management and tracking.
• Ability to write clear test plans and reports while ensuring full traceability between system requirements and test cases.
• A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail for edge cases, and the ability to mentor junior testers.
• Experience with performance testing tools like Locust or JMeter, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Description:

• Test Automation Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain robust automated test suites using Python and Playwright.
• BDD Implementation: Translate complex business requirements into executable Gherkin specifications.
• Pipeline Integration: Integrate automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to provide immediate feedback during build and deployment.
• End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for test strategy, design, and automation of both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Compliance & Validation: Ensure full traceability to validate that eEAD meets all ICAO and SES obligations.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with Product Owners and Developers while guiding junior team members in automation best practices.
• Isolated Testing: Utilize Docker to ensure consistency and portability of automated tests across all stages of the delivery pipeline.
