About the Client

The Client wishes to raise awareness of EU's approach to digital transformation and empower citizens and businesses to make the best out of the digital world.

The specific unit of the Client is responsible for the external communication of the policies and its web team is managing the main policy website.

The Search Engine Optimization Expert will be responsible for the monitoring and improvement of the site's performance in terms of traffic.

Your Role

As a Search Engine Optimization Expert, these are the main tasks that you'll be responsible for:

• Measure traffic by monitoring the appropriate indicators
• Provide monthly reports on traffic
• Assess search engines' specific impact on traffic
• Make recommendations for increasing volume and quality of traffic
• Draft requirements for new web developments
• Draft guidelines and other technical documents
• Provide ad hoc advice in areas of expertise

What You'll Bring

Technical Skills:

• Good knowledge of SEO best practices
• Solid background with website analytics tools, google analytics and Matomo/Piwik
• Ability to monitor and learn from new developments affecting websites performance
• Expertise in devising strategies for optimisation
• Good drafting skills
• Ability to prioritise
• Service oriented

Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English - Level C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
• Good knowledge of French - Level B1 and of another EU language will be considered an asset

Soft Skills:

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal communication.

• Good problem-solving skills
