We are currently looking for an
IT Web Architect
to join our growing client in
Brussels

Responsibilities :

• Create and maintain the
  architecture of software systems
  by defining components which are best suited to the functional and technological needs ;
• Perform
  impact analysis
  : measure the impact of functional and technical requirements on the existing system and establish priorities ;
• Participate in
  implementing components
  ;
• Assist with
  deployment and configuration
  of systems ;
• Monitor developments
  and ensure the deliverable of systems and components in time ;
• Manage and implement
  requests for changes
  ;
• Understand and capture
  business needs
  and translate them into tasks assigned to the project team ;
• Managing and coordinating
  workshops and project documentation
  ;
• Provide guidance and
  coaching
  to developers ;
• Ensure websites and software meet
  non-functional requirements
  (quality, security, performance, scalability, maintainability etc.).

Profile and background :

• Minimum
  8 years of experience
  in the field ;
• Excellent knowledge in
  enterprise architecture and software design
  ;
• Excellent knowledge in
  development with various frameworks and platforms like Java
  ;
• Experience with
  AWS Services
  (Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, SNS, CloudWatch, EventBridge, SQS and CloudFront) ;
• Experience with
  media management
  (video transcoding, encoding, formats, bitrates, codecs, resolutions, image processing,...) and best practices in delivery optimization
  is a must
  ;
• Hands-on use of
  media processing tools and services
  , such as
  AWS Elemental MediaConvert or alternatives
  ;
• Understanding of
  asset lifecycle management
  , from ingestion to publishing ;
• Handling
  source files, generating derivatives
  (thumbnails, proxies) ;
• Managing
  transcoding jobs
  and validating results ;
• Experience with
  Agile methodologies
  ;
• Ability to identify and manage
  priorities
  , to
  spot opportunities and risks
  , result orientation, communication skills.

Bonus :

• Experience with
  message oriented middleware
  (Kafka topics, sinks, and dead-letter queues for stateful job orchestration) ;
• Excellent knowledge in development with
  Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and REST APIs
  ;
• Experience with
  headless CMS platforms like Strapi
  ;
• Familiarity with
  DevOps/DataOps concepts and CI/CD
  .
