Telecom Project Leader – Infrastructure Projects

Location: Brussels

Duration: 12-month freelance/contract

Start Date: ASAP

I’m working with a key organization responsible for maintaining the stability of Belgium’s electricity grid. They are currently seeking a Telecom Project Leader to support a major infrastructure program in the energy sector.

In this freelance/contract role, you’ll oversee the telecom components of high-voltage substation projects (ranging from 380kV to 36kV), contributing to the development of a smarter, more sustainable grid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate ~20 telecom-related workstreams across major infrastructure projects
• Define telecom needs, draft technical specifications, and support execution through to commissioning
• Work closely with design teams and infrastructure managers to deliver end-to-end telecom solutions
• Prepare documentation for tender processes and support pilot initiatives for new telecom technologies

Your Profile:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Experience in telecom and/or infrastructure projects is a strong advantage
• Proactive communicator, team-oriented, and customer-focused

• Candidates must hold valid work and residence permits for Belgium
• Start date: ASAP
