Conference Support Specialist


About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Meeting Room Video and Audio Conference Support Specialist to ensure seamless operation and support of video conferencing and audio equipment across our meeting rooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide timely support to end-users to facilitate effective virtual and hybrid meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain video conferencing systems, audio equipment, and related peripherals in meeting rooms.
Provide technical support for video and audio conferencing issues, including hardware, software, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
Assist users with setup and operation of meeting room technology, ensuring smooth start-up and operation of virtual meetings.
Monitor and test conferencing equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to plan and implement upgrades or new meeting room technology deployments.
Document support activities, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Train end-users on best practices for using video and audio conferencing tools and equipment.
Stay updated on the latest video conferencing technologies and recommend improvements or new solutions.
Respond promptly to support requests and escalate complex issues as needed.
Perform regular health checks and preventive maintenance on conferencing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
Proven experience supporting video conferencing and audio equipment in a corporate or enterprise environment.
Proficiency with popular video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Google Meet).
Strong understanding of AV hardware including cameras, microphones, speakers, codecs, and control systems.
Familiarity with network fundamentals and troubleshooting related to video conferencing connectivity.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, AVIXA, or vendor-specific certifications) are a plus.
Preferred Skills
Experience with room scheduling and management software, preferably in banking or corporate account environments, would be an advantage.
