Business / Functional Analyst – Digital Transformation

For our Brussels office, we are currently looking for a Medior Business / Functional Analyst to join one of our trusted clients in the insurance sector.


About the Role

For a major insurance client based in Brussels, we are seeking an experienced Business / Functional Analyst with a strong background in digital transformation projects within the insurance industry.


You will join a complex and mature organization undergoing significant transformation and acceleration. Acting as a key link between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners, you will help translate strategic objectives into high-quality, actionable solutions.

This is a hybrid position, based in Brussels.


Key Responsibilities

As a Business / Functional Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze and formalize business needs within complex insurance processes
  • Translate business requirements into clear and structured functional specifications
  • Work within a matrix organization involving multiple stakeholders and decision-making layers
  • Support digital transformation initiatives impacting processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Collaborate closely with:
  • Business owners
  • IT and technical teams
  • Vendors and external partners
  • Contribute to process redesign, optimization, and governance
  • Support change initiatives and ensure alignment between business and technology
  • Participate in phased deliveries and transformation waves
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle


Your Profile

We are looking for a medior to senior-level professional with the following background:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Functional Analyst
  • Strong experience in the insurance sector (life, non-life, claims, policy administration, or similar domains)
  • Proven experience in digital transformation projects
  • Comfortable working in complex, matrix-based organizations
  • Able to interact effectively with both senior business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Experience working with external vendors is a plus
  • Familiarity with structured delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall)


Languages

  • English: Fluent
  • Dutch or French: Strong professional proficiency
