General Ledger Accountant –Belgian Industrial Group in a Phase of Strong

We are recruiting a General Ledger Accountant to join the finance team of a large, well-established Belgian group active in major industrial projects both locally and internationally.

This family-owned group is a key player in the Belgian industrial sector with a longstanding presence. Employing several thousand people, it generates annual revenues in the multi-billion euro range. With a stable operational margin and a strong commitment to sustainable development, the group operates across industrial production, engineering, and property development. It is involved in large-scale national projects including complex infrastructure and urban development.

In 2025, with a record order book, especially on the Belgian market, the company is focused on improving profitability and optimizing its financial processes. You will play an important role in supporting this strategic transformation.

Your Role

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for the general accounting of approximately 40 Belgian entities, including joint ventures and complex operational structures. You will join a professional team covering general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, tax, and administration, reporting directly to the local accounting manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the general ledger accounting
• Prepare monthly and annual closings
• Handle VAT declarations, reconciliations, and statutory compliance
• Support annual accounts preparation and corporate tax filings
• Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation
• Participate in financial process improvement initiatives

Your Profile

• 4 to 5 years of experience in Belgian general accounting
• Fluent in French or Duch AND English; good command of Dutch is a strong asset
• Familiar with multi-entity or project-based environments
• Stable, detail-oriented, and proactive personality
• Comfortable working in a large team and coordinating with various departments
