Project Manager (30 hours per week)


We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead and coordinate patient-centred projects, such as annual awareness campaigns (in close collaboration with campaign developers), yearly reports based on designed surveys, and other strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects from planning through delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while embedding patient involvement at every stage.


This role is ideal for someone with strong project management skills, experience in health or advocacy environments, a commitment to patient engagement, and a flexible, team-oriented approach. At times, the Project Manager may need to assist with tasks outside the formal role in time-sensitive situations.

Your Key Responsibilities

Project Management

· Plan, coordinate, and deliver projects in line with organizational strategy

· Support the design and implementation of patient-centered activities

· Support grant-funded projects, including reporting to funders

· Coordinate project delivery for events and conferences, including preparation and on-site support when required


Patient Involvement

· Embed meaningful patient involvement across projects

· Ensure outputs reflect patient priorities and lived experience

Communication & Reporting

· Prepare project updates, reports, and documentation for stakeholders

· Contribute to dissemination of project outputs (reports, presentations, communications)

· Support internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement


Teamwork & Flexibility

· Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners

· Be ready to assist with time-sensitive or ad-hoc tasks as priorities shift


Essential Criteria

· Experience in health, advocacy, or related fields

· Commitment to patient-centred approaches

· Strong organisational and time-management skills

· Experience working with multiple stakeholders

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to translate complex topics into clear, accessible messages

· Understanding of project management processes (or ability to learn quickly)

· Team player with flexibility to support tasks beyond core responsibilities when needed

· Ability and willingness to travel occasionally and attend organisation's events (including the Lung Cancer Europe Conference)
