The LDES Council is a global non-profit organization, with founding members and a Board made up of executives and business leaders from leading energy companies, technology providers, investors, and end-users. The LDES Council advances the decarbonisation of our world through the acceleration of long-duration energy storage by providing member-driven, fact-based guidance and research on the deployment of long-duration energy storage for society's benefit.


We are hiring a creative and driven Communications Intern to join our Communications team. This role is perfect for someone early in their career, eager to dive into many aspects of communications work and gain hands-on experience. If you are a strong writer, passionate about supporting organisational growth and brand recognition, and creating engaging content and visuals, we want to hear from you.


Responsibilities:


Content Creation: Support the Communications Manager in the development and execution of creative external and internal communications content across various platforms and engagements, ensuring brand consistency in tone and message.

Planning and Coordination: Help keep the Communications function on track by supporting planning needs, including organising and maintaining content calendars, cataloging organisational and functional content, collecting engagement metrics, and supporting event planning needs.

Social Media Strategy: Support the execution of our social media strategy to further strengthen our online presence, improve communications with our stakeholders, and increase brand awareness.

Community Engagement: Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities, responding to comments and messages, and engaging with our community to build relationships and encourage a positive online environment.

Analytics and Reporting: Help monitor and report on the performance of our digital communications and social media campaigns and posts, utilizing analytics tools to gather insights and make recommendations for improvement.

Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies, as well as trending topics and hashtags, to keep our content relevant and engaging.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Communications Manager to contribute to larger campaigns and initiatives, ensuring a cohesive brand message across all platforms.

Understand the LDES Council brand, members, goals, and all other aspects of service.



Qualifications:

●       At least one year of experience working in the communications and/or marketing industry.

●       Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/web/text), and communication skills.

●       Intellectual curiosity and a growing understanding for organizational communications, with strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of what makes content shareable.

●       Creativity and the ability to produce innovative and original ideas.

●       Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines within a global team.



Bonus Qualifications:

●       Proficiency in SEO optimisation, market segmentation, and audience targeting. 

●       Familiarity with online marketing strategies and CRM platforms (HubSpot experience is a plus).


Location

Candidates may be based anywhere in the world. This position is a full-time, remote, contract position.


Salary 

The salary range for this position in the U.S. is $30,000 – 40,000 USD annually, based on experience and location. Global salary is competitive by region.
