Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hong Kong SAR for a Public Relations Manager. Responsibilities include developing and executing public relations strategies to enhance the company's brand image and visibility. The role involves crafting press releases, establishing and maintaining relationships with media outlets, overseeing strategic communication campaigns, and managing public relations efforts for various projects. The Public Relations Manager will work closely with the marketing and operations teams to ensure cohesive and effective communication efforts.
Key Responsibilities
• Own group-level media relations: grow and maintain a strong network of F&B, lifestyle, luxury, and business media in Hong Kong and the region.
• Plan, write, and edit press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, Q&As, and press kits for openings, chef stories, collaborations, awards, and milestones.
• Proactively pitch story angles that highlight our concepts, founders, chefs, and brand partners to secure high-impact coverage.
• Lead media events, tastings, interviews, and press trips, managing invitations, logistics, on-site hosting, and follow-up.
• Oversee influencer and KOL strategy: identify partners, negotiate collaborations, and ensure content quality and brand fit.
• Monitor and manage brand reputation across digital channels and review platforms, escalating issues and supporting crisis responses when required.
• Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, and Restaurant GMs to ensure consistent messaging across PR, social media, and on-site communications.
• Track and report PR performance, share coverage highlights, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in PR, preferably in hospitality, F&B, lifestyle, or luxury; agency background is also welcome.
• Proven track record of securing quality media coverage and managing PR campaigns end-to-end.
• Strong existing relationships with Hong Kong F&B, lifestyle, and/or luxury media are a strong advantage.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills in English; Chinese language skills (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) highly preferred.
• Confident, polished communicator who is comfortable hosting media, speaking to stakeholders, and representing the brand.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple brands, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for restaurants, bars, design, and hospitality culture.
