As a Production & QC Manager, you will oversee the manufacturing operations.

You will also be leading and managing the Production & QC team, in terms of efficiency, quality and productivity.

As a leader, you will need strong people management skills, the ability to motivate and support your team, and a proactive approach for problem-solving. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth collaboration within the team while fostering a positive and results-driven work environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the production and quality control team (~ 10 people) in terms of efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee daily production operations, ensuring quality of products and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement production planning strategies to optimize efficiency and meet internal and external demands.
• Ensure strict compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, and other relevant industry regulations.
• Monitor and analyze production data to drive continuous improvement and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement all required tools to the team to be able to achieve the production goals.
• Coordinate with R&D, supply chain, quality and regulatory teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
• Train and manage production and QC personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.
• Identify and troubleshoot production and quality issues, implementing improvements.
• Ensure all documentation and reporting requirements are met in compliance with the quality management system.

LaCAR is a fast-growing biotech company that develops, produces, and sells CE-IVD diagnostic kits for genetics and newborn screening worldwide. Our headquarters are based in the Liège Science Park (Belgium).

Who Are We Looking For?

• 5 to 10 years of experience in production and quality control within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• A strong organizational and managerial skills.
• Proven leadership and team management skills and experience, with the ability to coach, motivate, and drive performance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Fluent in English and French (additional languages are a plus).
