The Truck Sales Representative is responsible for selling new and used trucks to commercial, municipal, and fleet customers. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying transportation needs, and delivering tailored truck solutions while meeting volume and gross profit objectives. Key Responsibilities: Sell new and used to retail and fleet customers Prospect new customers and develop long-term relationships with existing accounts Identify customer applications and recommend appropriate truck specifications Work with small, medium, and large fleet customers across various industries Support replacement planning, lifecycle management, and upfitting coordination Maintain regular customer contact through calls, visits, and account reviews Prepare quotes, proposals, and vehicle specifications Coordinate pricing, trade-ins, financing, and delivery timelines Work closely with F&I, service, and used truck departments to close deals Maintain strong knowledge of products, programs, and incentives Stay current on OEM updates, emissions regulations, and competitive offerings Ensure compliance with OEM sales standards and reporting requirements Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline tracking, and sales forecasts Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets Provide market feedback to sales leadership and OEM partners Qualifications & Skills: Understanding of medium-duty and heavy-duty truck applications Familiarity with upfits, body builders, and vocational equipment Knowledge of leasing, financing, and trade-in valuation Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Self-motivated with strong time-management skills Ability to manage long sales cycles and multiple opportunities Results-driven with customer-first mindset Dealership and field-based role with regular customer visits Travel within assigned territory required Flexible schedule aligned with customer needs Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred 3–7+ years of experience in commercial truck, equipment, or B2B sales Fleet or vocational sales experience preferred At Kriete Truck Centers, our commitment to customer satisfaction coupled with a strong workplace culture focused on excellence are the pillars of our success.
