Job Opportunity: Investment Analyst – Korys Private Equity – Energy Team

Job Description

Korys, the investment structure of the Colruyt family, is seeking an Investment Analyst to join the Energy Team and support its private equity and venture capital activities. Our Energy Team is dedicated to accelerating the energy transition through direct investments in enabling technologies and infrastructure assets, complemented by a portfolio of fund investments.

As an Investment Analyst, you will be an integral part of the team, contributing to early-stage analysis and supporting the investment process. Your primary focus will be on venture capital investments in technology companies driving the energy transition, while also assisting with infrastructure-related activities when needed.

Responsibilities and involvement through the entire investment cycle:

• Deal Screening & Analysis: Support the deal team by reviewing potential opportunities, conducting preliminary analysis (technology, market, competitive positioning, strategy, financial review, and valuation modelling) and reporting dealflow.
• Investment Materials: Draft internal presentations and memoranda to support decision-making.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct industry mapping, build market insights and sector knowledge, and engage with the Korys network through research, events, and outreach.
• Portfolio Support: Assist with monitoring existing investments and provide operational or strategic support to portfolio companies.
• Collaboration & Networking: Work closely with Investment Managers and Directors, participate in discussions with Korys stakeholders and the Colruyt Group, and gradually develop a strong network within the energy investment space.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Investment Analyst role will bring:

• Academic Background: A master’s degree in economics, finance or business administration
• Professional Experience: 3-5 years in investments, mergers and acquisitions or corporate finance. Prior exposure to venture capital or private equity – through an internship or work experience – is a strong plus.
• Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and investment opportunities
• Language Skills: Fluency in English and either Dutch or French (both Dutch and French are an advantage)
• Sector Interest: Genuine interest for the renewable energy sector
