Data and Software Officer

As a privately-owned European credit fund management firm, KARTESIA purpose is to help and support small and mid-cap corporate companies by providing them long-term liquidity and flexible credit solutions.

We are seeking a dedicated Data and Software Officer to join our European-based operations. This role involves overseeing our IT software and SaaS platforms to ensure optimal usage, development, and data management at the firm level, contributing to global harmonization.

Position scope:

• Maintain essential IT software and data, including corporate and business tools used at firm level.
• Collaborate actively with internal users and IT vendors to implement new solutions and troubleshoot issues.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Enhance usage and efficiency of the business tools by assessing teams’ needs and requirements.
• Collaborate with software development team on potential issues (including troubleshooting, testing and backlog) or feature optimizations (new functionalities, workflows modifications, automations…).
• Be the referent and expert liaising with business teams and software vendors for usage optimization and improvements,
• Provide training in our corporate and business software for new colleagues or on new releases.
• Support team members through change management by creating documentation and conducting personal follow-ups.
• Take ownership of the data contained in our business tools, measure and improve the data quality.
• Orchestrate the integration between platforms and dataflow (API and Azure Data Warehouse).
• Develop and enhance firm-level reporting using Power BI.
• Design exit plans and review alternative solutions for all critical tools.
• Help in compliance with the third-party providers with their risk assessment and regulatory audit and reporting.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to propose innovative solutions/alternatives.
• Ensure continuity in the IT team and support team efforts by absorbing other tasks and responsibilities when required.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in software, project management, and industry trends to ensure we remain at the forefront of innovation.
• Open to travel to different European locations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field and being fluent in English.
• Proven in-depth experience working in the Windows environment, Microsoft/Azure tools, cloud computing, and data management.
• Strong listening skills and understanding of team workflows and specific needs with good organization.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, with familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, Planner) is a plus.
