About CAR-T
CAR-T is an innovative treatment, which uses the power of the patient's own immune system. A patient's T-cells are genetically modified to eliminate cancer cells. This ground-breaking technology provides hopeful prospects to patients where other therapies have failed or fail to provide adequate results.

Janssen Biotech, Inc. entered into a global collaboration agreement with Legend Biotech to develop, manufacture and commercialize ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel). Through our strategic partnership, we look to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

To support our CAR-T program in the EMEA region, we are establishing two state-of-the-art manufacturing centers in Ghent, Belgium.

We are searching for the best talent for a Learning & Development Specialist to be in Gent.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a pivotal member of the Learning & Development team, you will design, implement, and manage training programs that ensure our staff are equipped with the latest industry knowledge, compliance standards, and skills required for a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities
You will contribute to fostering a culture where learning is an inherent part of our identity, motivating everyone to learn, grow, and excel. Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing comprehensive, tailored training programs for various functions
• Conducting needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across departments
• Investigating and implementing innovative instructional methods (e.g., e-learning, VR training)
• Facilitating training sessions and onboarding programs, enhancing the new hire experience
• Monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics
• Ensuring all training content complies with GMP, Quality, Compliance, and Regulatory standards
• Connecting with subject matter experts and external partners (universities, training centers, high schools) to stay ahead of pharmaceutical innovations
• Working with stakeholders (Legend Biotech and J&J CAR-T Raritan) to leverage CAR-T-specific training initiatives
• Promoting a learning culture where continuous growth and development are valued and encouraged

Qualification And Requirements

• You have a Bachelor or Master's Degree or equivalent experience in a scientific or technical field (Engineering, Bioscience Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry …).
• You have strong track record as a trainer, effectively sharing knowledge concisely and efficiently
• You have a strong interest and affinity for traditional and digital learning methods, coaching/mentoring, and content development for trainings.
• You have a start-up/can-do mindset, and you proactively search for solutions.
• You excel at connecting and building relationships, being able to connect authentically with different stakeholders and partners.
• You embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• You have strong knowledge of aseptic manufacturing.
• Experience with team-based collaborations is a must.
• You place our patients at the center of everything you do.
• You have strong communication skills in Dutch, as well as English
