Electric Motor Designer

Brussels - Contracting (permanent contract)

For our client specialised in the automotive sector, we are actively looking for an Electric Motor Designer.

As an Electric Motor Designer, you will be part of the Powertrain E-Axle team which is in charge of the electrified transmission units produced or to be produced in Europe.

What are your responsibilities ?

Supporting development projects through:

• Benchmark studies
• Concept preparation of prototypes
• Design prediction and design study summary (DRBFM), with a focus on change points and identification of required evaluations
• Design studies for modifications based on DRBFM methodology

Modelling process deliverables include:

• Strength calculations using CATIA, to be set up and compared with CATIA’s FEA module
• Thermal simulations of the motor and E-axle
• Electromagnetic simulations to support benchmark investigations and research validation

Conducting FEA modelling case studies and reporting correlation with measurements

Who are you ?

• Electro-Mechanical Engineer or similar
• Experience in the automotive sector
• Experience in Electric motor design & optimisation
• Good command of Matlab Simulink
• Good command of JMAG or Ansys Maxwell to calculate electromagnetic behaviour of e-motor
