TEST JOB Electromechanical Engineer Vessel Maintenance

Your Work Context
We owe our position as a global player to our technically innovative know-how and the most modern dredging fleet in the world. Jan De Nul Group continues to invest in its fleet. Within our Technical Division, the New Construction Department is involved from the preliminary design stage. The Fleet Managers in turn are responsible for the maintenance and equipment of the existing fleet. Every project is different and each time the optimal configuration is put together. And if it doesn't exist, we make it ourselves

Your Role
As an Electromechanical Engineer or Technical Superintendent Vessel Maintenance, you will ensure that the dredger and equipment are technically operational at all times.Your main duties and responsibilities are:

Coordinating the various technical maintenance and repair activities.Checking reports, repair lists and request forms.Maintaining an overview of the works carried out and to be carried out, reporting problems and requesting new parts.Preparing repair and renovation projects.Responsible for the technical realisation of a mobilisation or demobilisation.Maintain supervision of stock management.Ordering drydocks and contacting local subcontractors.Paying attention to safety, quality and environment during projects.Motivating the technical staff on the ship and on the site.

Profile
You have a master's degree within engineering or industrial sciences Mechanical/Electromechanics. You are an organisational talent with a high degree of independence. You have a strong basic knowledge and passion for engineering. You are a fluent communicator and can express yourself well in Dutch and English.

You have an interest in the dredging sector and are willing to be deployed as an expat on our maritime projects worldwide. You work on the basis of an expat rotation system (2/1; 2 months on-site followed by 1 month leave).
