Sales Engineer

As the market leader in factory automation for the blow molding industry, our client has grown significantly since its inception over 30 years ago. Company specializes in developing a wide range of innovative surface treatment solutions and efficient quality machines focused on the blow moulding industry. To support their continued growth, they are looking forward to grow their team.

Role Description

  • Drive growth by strengthening long-term customer relationships and uncovering new business opportunities within the assigned territory (Anglo-Saxon markets & Nordics/Scandinavia or Benelux & Southern Europe, including Israel).
  • Leverage strong listening and analytical skills to understand customer requirements and translate them into tailored automation solutions.
  • Partner closely with internal teams (e.g., engineering, project management, and operations) to define the most effective technical and commercial approach for each project.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations on machines and production lines to prospective and existing customers.
  • Recommend new and improved solutions/products to ensure continuous value creation for clients.
  • Develop line concepts, including layouts and quotations for new production lines or modifications to existing ones, and present proposals confidently to customers.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and relevant industry events.
  • Travel up to 25% across the designed territory to meet clients and partners.

Your background

  • Proven experience in B2B technical sales, within the automation or industrial engineering market.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field and good software skills are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • An analytical mind and a creative approach to solving complex challenges.
  • Proactive and driven, with a strong \"can-do\" attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, with a high level of self-motivation and results orientation.
  • Based within one hour of Ophasselt, or willing to commute to the office approximately 50% of the time.
  • Fluency in English required; French, Dutch & other languages are considered an asset.
