Based at the strategic Liège Airport hub, you'll be part of an international operation that ensures seamless cargo handling through state-of-the-art conveyor, scanning, and material handling systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems for automated cargo handling equipment.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs (preferably Siemens S7, TIA Portal, or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
Support commissioning, integration, and testing of new systems.
Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for electrical and control issues.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and airport-specific regulations.
Interface with mechanical, IT, and SCADA teams to ensure systems run efficiently.
Provide technical support and training to on-site operators and maintenance teams.
Produce detailed documentation (electrical schematics, I/O lists, test reports).
Requirements
~ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
~3+ years of experience in PLC control systems, ideally in logistics or airport cargo environments.
~ Proven hands-on experience with PLC programming and electrical panel design.
~ Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
~ Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken) – mandatory.
~ Familiarity with airport operations or high-speed logistics environments is a plus.
~ Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional night/weekend shifts during critical project phases.
