We are currently looking for a Cloud Data Engineer to support a client in the Brussels area. If you enjoy building modern data platforms and optimizing cloud environments, this opportunity is for you.

Your role

As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing and operationalizing scalable data solutions. You will help build and automate data pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and work closely with analysts and data scientists to ensure reliable data delivery and integration.

Your responsibilities

• Develop automated data pipelines and notebooks for ingestion, cleaning, and integration
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and ensure efficiency
• Manage and optimize Azure-based data platforms like MS Fabric and Databricks, focusing on security and cost control
• Design and maintain data models and views using star schema standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project goals and ensure high-quality delivery

Your expertise

• 5+ years of experience with SQL, Python, and Azure-based data platforms such as MS Fabric and Databricks
• 3+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes in data applications
• Proven ability to model, test, and deploy scalable data solutions
• Basic knowledge of machine learning, with experience optimizing data flows
• Understanding of GDPR, data governance, and data quality, with strong project-based experience
