Field Engineer Telecom

Our client is looking for a skilled Field Engineer Telecom to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network environments while ensuring high availability and performance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, providing expert technical support and implementing network solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for operational project follow-up and internal client support.
• Monitor network quality, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Provide technical advice for customer requests and connections.
• Configure and document Cisco routers and switches, including VRFs, NAT, DHCP, and external connectivity.
• Offer remote and on-site support for routing, switching, and configuration adjustments.
• Maintain and manage Tacacs, update ACLs, and perform proactive network maintenance.
• Translate detailed network designs into machine configurations using standardized templates.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation in network databases.

Profile & Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ICT infrastructure support.
• Proven knowledge of switching, routing, and datacenter networks.
• Experience in a large enterprise environment (1,500+ users).
• Familiarity with networking technologies and best practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Dutch (CEFR level C2).
