Senior Cobol Developer

We're looking for a
Cobol Developer
to join our client's team.

Tasks

• In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining existing applications and developing new ones.
• Collaborating with your colleagues, you will convert functional analyses into technical specifications and develop applications using Cobol.
• You will also execute unit testing, testing plans on Azure DevOps, and integration tests to ensure the quality and compliance of deliverables.
• Supporting clients in validation testing and documenting the developments will be part of your responsibilities, as well as maintaining communication with clients regarding the execution and implementation of requested developments.
• Lastly, sharing your knowledge and documentation with team members is essential.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

• Holder of a degree in computer science
• At least 10 years of experience in the IT field
• Excellent knowledge of Cobol and SQL; familiar with relational databases (SQL Server)
• Proven experience of at least 10 years as an IT trainer, a significant advantage
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, C++, and C# (.Net framework) is required
• Experience with technologies such as Git, Matlab, TopKapi, and Ecodial
• Certifications in Mainframe Application Programming and C# are a plus
