IFS Functional Analyst

Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager, the IFS Functional Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the ERP and supporting applications meet the ongoing and evolving needs of the Business.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Understand the functional needs of the Business areas and working with the Enterprise Applications Manager and wider team, identify how these can be met by the ERP and other supporting systems
  • Manage incoming Change Requests, gather/ develop functional requirements and manage the delivery of the solution to ensure it is on time and to budget
  • Lead Business Requirements gathering sessions and document functional specifications
  • Engage with the Solution & Data Architect to help understand, document and solution both system problems and system enhancements
  • Provide second line support for incidents, liaising with the Operations team and Third Parties to ensure the ongoing delivery and maintenance of the applications
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the business users and stakeholders
  • Work with key stakeholders to influence and drive continuous improvement to functionality and processes
  • Leading and coordinating application testing and assurance activities
  • Monitor and maintain the ERP system and supporting applications and propose necessary actions when required
  • Carrying out user support and training on applications
  • Contribute to the systems design and development standard and guidelines
  • Keeping up to date on IT issues and developments in Manufacturing and ERP systems
  • Monitor any potential risks and highlight these to the Enterprise Applications Manager as required
  • Any other duties assigned


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Relevant third level degree or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience, ideally with a company in a related sector
  • Relevant experience in the Manufacturing sector, possessing a strong understanding of the Manufacturing business end to end processes and requirements
  • In depth knowledge of IFS ERP system and specialised knowledge in at least one area of functionality
  • Strong ability to gather, understand and translate business requirements into working solutions
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships (both internal and external) with excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to ensure the successful execution of solution delivery projects by aligning cost, service and product selection to business needs and expectations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic team and fast-paced environment with continuous challenges
  • SQL and Java knowledge an advantage
  • Language skills an advantage
  • Must be able to travel within UK and EU
