The Business Analyst will support large-scale international IT and business transformation projects by analysing business needs, documenting detailed requirements, modelling processes, and contributing to project governance. This role interacts directly with stakeholders across multicultural and multilingual environments, participates in Agile ceremonies, and ensures the delivery of accurate, high-quality documentation and analytical outputs.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in modelling methodologies (UML, BPMN), and experience with enterprise collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Enterprise Architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and system interactions.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear, structured, and traceable documentation.
- Conduct gap analyses, feasibility assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Produce functional/business use cases aligned with project standards.
- Support business case creation and definition of project vision.
- Develop BPMN, UML, and other modelling artefacts to represent business processes and systems.
- Produce use case diagrams, state diagrams, activity diagrams, ER models, and information flows.
- Ensure consistency and alignment of models with enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Track project progress, deliverables, scope, and adherence to defined methodologies.
- Contribute to validation and quality assurance of project outputs and documentation.
- Ensure the application of internal standards, governance guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Facilitate discussions among business units, IT teams, and project stakeholders.
- Communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in multilingual meetings; support cross-functional alignment across departments.
- Assist in requirement clarification, scope definition, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain structured documentation in Confluence or equivalent repositories.
- Develop mock-ups and prototypes using UI modelling tools (Balsamiq or similar).
- Support document management processes and ensure version control.
- Use JIRA for backlog management, task tracking, and sprint documentation.
- Provide inputs on semantic interoperability, workflow-based systems, and data exchange requirements.
- Support analysis of administrative and functional processes within large organisational environments.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification at EQF Level 6 (minimum 3 years of higher education).
Required Knowledge & Skills

Technical Expertise (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).
- Strong knowledge of UML, BPMN, and process modelling methodologies.
- Experience with modelling tools: Enterprise Architect, Visio, Gliffy, or equivalents.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence for project collaboration.
- Proficiency with UI wireframing/mockup tools (e.g., Balsamiq).
- Experience supporting large and complex IT projects.
- Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders and facilitate workshops.
- Strong understanding of information systems, workflows, and administrative processes in large organisations.
