Context & Mission

The SANTE.R.4 – Information Systems unit is responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating DG SANTE's IT systems across Brussels, Luxembourg, and Grange.

DG SANTE's Mission Includes

Main Tasks

• Data analysis and modeling
• Database design and implementation
• Reverse engineering of existing databases
• Integration with other databases
• Technical documentation
• Deployment and configuration support
• Troubleshooting and optimization
• Technical evaluations and audit reports
• Risk analysis
• Participation in project meetings

Education Requirements

Minimum EQF Level 6: Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of higher education

Required Technical Expertise

• Data modeling & design tools (≥3 years) – e.g., SQL Developer Data Modeler, Hackolade
• Development tools (≥5 years) – e.g., Oracle SQL Developer
• Relational DB systems (≥5 years) – e.g., Oracle
• NoSQL DB systems (≥1 year) – e.g., Elastic Search, MongoDB, Cassandra
• SQL (≥5 years)
• PL/SQL (≥3 years)
• DB development best practices (≥3 years)
• Master data management (≥1 year)
• Database security (≥3 years)
• Database architecture (≥3 years)
• Release management (≥3 years)
• Agile methodology (≥1 year)
• Confluence & Jira (≥1 year)

Non-Technical Skills

• Clear and structured writing (technical & non-technical)
• Communication with both business and technical audiences
• High-level and technical presentations
• Commitment to quality standards
• Adaptability to evolving technologies

• Fluent English (French is a plus)
