Technical Manager– Immersive Venue

About the role

We’re looking for a Technical Manager to lead the day-to-day technical operations of an immersive venue. You’ll ensure every show runs safely, reliably, and to the highest artistic and technical standards, while supervising and developing a skilled technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily show operations and technical execution (lighting, sound, video, FX, show control).
• Act as the main point of contact for all technical matters on site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents quickly during performances.
• Manage preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and system evolution.
• Plan schedules, supervise technicians, provide training, and support team development.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, reports, and inventories.
• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and site standards.
• Coordinate with creative teams, operations, site management, and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Strong hands-on expertise in lighting, audio, video, FX, and show-control systems.
• Experience with tools such as QLab, ETC EOS, projection systems, networks, and automation .
• Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• 2–3+ years’ experience in live events, theatre, or immersive environments.
• Relevant technical or audiovisual education (or equivalent experience).

Working conditions

• Irregular hours (evenings, weekends, public holidays).
• Physically demanding work (lifting, heights, confined spaces).
• Occasional off-site work.

Salary

💶 From $50,000 - €60,000 gross/year (12-month contract, excluding sector bonuses and extra-legal benefits).
