Our client is an independent corporate finance advisory firm based in the Benelux region is seeking to hire an Associate in Debt Advisory for its growing team in Amsterdam. The firm specializes in a wide range of services including mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory, capital raising, capital restructuring, and related financial services for medium to large sized companies. Role Overview – Associate, Debt Advisory

As an Associate in the Debt Advisory team, you will play an integral role in supporting and executing complex financing transactions. You will join collaborative, low-hierarchy deal teams and work closely with senior professionals and client executives from the outset. Responsibilities span the entire transaction life cycle—from origination and structuring to execution and closing.

You will contribute to financial and market analyses, develop financing documentation, review legal and financial terms, and assist in preparing client presentations and strategic materials. The role offers a steep learning curve and significant responsibility, with ample support for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clients in arranging acquisition finance, refinancing, recapitalizations, and restructuring transactions
• Conduct financial modeling, business and market research, and analyze capital structures and lender feedback
• Assist in the preparation of client presentations, financing memoranda, and pitch materials
• Actively participate in project execution and liaise with clients, lenders, and professional advisors
• Coordinate due diligence processes and information flow
• Guide analysts’ work and contribute to their professional growth
• Build and maintain external relationships with lenders, clients, and market stakeholders
• Take initiative in contributing to the firm’s continued growth and leadership in the Benelux corporate finance market

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• 3–5 years of experience in financial advisory, corporate finance, or investment banking—ideally in leveraged finance, structured finance, or debt advisory
• Native Dutch speaker with excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach and drive for excellence
• Solid understanding of financing structures, financial modeling, LMA documentation, and accounting principles
