TASKS/REQUIRED SERVICES

  • Supporting with the implementation of the internal communication strategy of DG CLIMA.
  • Serving as the editor of the newsletters from DG CLIMA to internal external/stakeholders
  • Support for the creation of materials, articles for internal and external communication and website/intranet updates.
  • Coordinating, reviewing, editing or contributing to draft documents (concept notes, strategy, PPT, briefing notes, speaking points, presentations and lines-to-take).

Education, experience and technical knowledge

The ideal candidate will have a university level education with at least 5 years' working experience in supporting communications within large organisations. Previous experience in internal communication and/or within the European institutions or agencies is an advantage.

The candidate will have strong organizational skills and experience in working independently to deliver quality communication outputs, editing a weekly newsletter, drafting briefing and press material, web and social media content and in carrying out communication actions and organising events. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. A creative mind, team-working spirit and a certain degree of flexibility are equally important features that we look for in the candidate.

The candidate will be part of a small team that works closely together and will also be in frequent contact with colleagues from policy units in DG CLIMA and other Services of the European Commission. The working language is English, but other languages are a plus.
