Lead Application Engineer - Analog

I am recruiting for a Lead Application Engineer to join my client’s team near Brussels. The role is based in a high-level research environment and centres on supporting engineers developing custom ICs.

As a Lead Application Engineer, you will work closely with customer teams to strengthen their analog and mixed signal design flows, particularly in custom layout and layout automation. You will collaborate directly with customer engineers while coordinating technical matters with internal specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine methodologies that improve how customers design ICs
• Deliver focused training sessions and informal knowledge sharing to help teams use tools effectively
• Enhance automation within analog design workflows
• Analyse technical issues raised by customers and coordinate solutions with internal groups
• Provide feedback and observations to guide future tool improvements
• Build long lasting and trusted relationships with customer engineering teams

Required qualifications

• MSc or MEng in microelectronics or a related field
• More than 5 years of experience in analog, mixed signal or RF design flows
• Strong background in custom IC layout across block and full chip level, including tape out
• Understanding of analog layout automation techniques

Occasional travel may be required.
