Information Technology Security Analyst


For our client, a large financial institution based in Brussels, we are currently looking for an experienced ICT security analyst to reinforce their team:


Your role:


You will implement ICT security processes and systems and act as a bridge between the ICT team and the Information Security risk management function. You will also help strengthen the overall security posture by ensuring the alignment of IT security initiatives with organizational goals, risk management, and compliance requirements.


Your responsibilities include

Daily collaboration with the Information Security function

• Alignment and coordination of security initiatives

• Manage InfoSec requests and recommendations

• Prioritise and structure into a clear roadmap

Design and implement a model for centralised logging and monitoring

• Collect logs from various environments into a central monitoring tool (SIEM)

• Develop a centralised monitoring capability that collects and analyses logs and security alerts

• Analyse the feasibility of outsourcing a centralized Security Operation Center (SOC)

• Lead the outsourcing process if deemed necessary

Provide expert guidance on IT security matters

• Draft, advise, and update ICT security/risk policies and procedures in line with DORA and InfoSec recommendations

• Identify and close implementation gaps in existing ICT risk/security processes,

• Identify coverage gaps

• Leverage on existing security systems to remediate gaps and streamline security operations and reporting

• Potentially acquire and deploy additional solutions to remediate gaps


Your qualifications and experience:

  • University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in Security Operations and strong knowledge of the SIEM/SOC market
  • All-round knowledge of IT technologies such as cloud, network, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention technologies and related vendor landscape
  • Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability management tools
  • Experience in the application of an IT industry or regulatory standard is an asset (e.g. NIS2, ISO27x, DORA)
  • Excellent command of English and another language of the EU (oral and written)
