Technical Sales Manager


DESCRIPTION

As a Technical Sales Manager, you are part of the sales team and report to the Commercial Director & General Manager. You serve as the point of contact between the company’s sales team and its customers. You provide information, service, maintenance, and repairs related to purchased equipment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess the technical feasibility of a customer's request (calculations, list of actions, etc.)
  • Preparation of offers
  • Prepare technical files and unique commercial proposals using programs like MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Negotiate the terms of the sales agreement with the customer
  • Achieve annual sales and profit targets by securing contracts for the sale and rental of emergency power units to both existing and new customers
  • Develop new opportunities in Belgium (Benelux) through independent travel and client visits to maintain and strengthen relationships with integrators, engineering/consulting firms, and end customers
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of the data entered by the sales team into the CRM
  • Manage the sales pipeline through a CRM system for predictable revenue generation, prioritization, and forecasting
  • Collaborate with the sales & management team to determine product pricing based on various ROI factors
  • Define the target audience based on the overall commercial action plan and create your own strategy from a technological perspective, including leading proof of concept and ROI initiatives
  • Develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations to large groups, resulting in increased market visibility, a broader client base, and ultimately higher overall revenu
  • Travel domestically and internationally to meet suppliers, customers, representatives, and distributors, and conduct evaluations and negotiations on-site
  • Develop new accounts while maintaining and expanding existing ones through fixed service and maintenance contracts
  • Always consider responsibilities related to quality, health, safety, and the environment


PROFILE

  • Technical degree and experience as a B2B technical salesperson
  • Knowledge of power/emergency generators
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience
  • At least 3 years of experience as a B2B technical salesperson
  • Affinity for technical products and the related markets
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent command of Dutch & English, French is a plus
