HappeningIT is looking for a hands-on Data Manager Data Engineer (Expert level) to join a strategic digital transformation program within a public sector organization. The program focuses on document digitization, process modernization, and building a data-driven ecosystem using Azure Cloud Dataplatformen.br/ You will work in a complex, multi-actor environment, with responsibility for both data engineering and data management activities, across both on-premise and cloud systems.br/ br/ h2Role responsibilities /h2 br/ As a Data Engineer, you will:br/ ul li Design and implement data pipelines (batch and real-time)br/ /li li Migrate data from on-premise systems to Azure Cloud Dataplatformenbr/ /li li Set up secure, scalable data integration and data Storage architecturesbr/ /li li Ensure robust data transformation and integration processesbr/ /li li Support the collection and processing of structured and unstructured databr/ /li li Build solutions for data access, including APIs and secure endpointsbr/ /li li Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI and SAP BObr/ /li li Apply data security policies and participate in access control implementationsbr/ /li li Support predictive and prescriptive analytics use casesbr/ /li /ul As a Data manager, you will:br/ ul li Define and maintain a business glossary and data dictionarybr/ /li li Implement frameworks for master data and metadata managementbr/ /li li Lead efforts in data governance and ensure data quality across domainsbr/ /li li Collaborate with business units to align on data definitions and usagebr/ /li li Contribute to building a data-driven culture across the organizationbr/ /li li Provide recommendations on data policies, standards, and lifecycle managementbr/ /li li Help define KPIs and structure data for analytical and operational reportingbr/ /li li Act as liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholdersbr/ /li /ul br/ h2Required experience /h2 br/ We are looking for a profile with the following mandatory skills:br/ ul li Data Engineering - Expertbr/ /li li Data Management - Expert lbr/ /li li Data integration and securitybr/ /li li Data quality and governancebr/ /li li Data pipelinesbr/ /li li Data migrationbr/ /li li Data Storage and architecturebr/ /li li Data transformation and integrationbr/ /li li Data collection and processingbr/ /li li Master data and metadata managementbr/ /li li Power BI and SAP BObr/ /li li Predictive and prescriptive analyticsbr/ /li li Practical experience in Azure Cloud Data Platformsbr/ /li li Languages:br/ ul li English: Professional levelbr/ /li li French or Dutch: Good working knowledge required (bilingual environment)br/ /li /ul /li /ul br/ h2Additional information /h2 ul li Workplace: Brussels (near major train station)br/ /li li On-site requirement: 3 days/week minimumbr/ /li li Contract: Fixed-term, renewable upon positive evaluationbr/ /li li Only hands-on profiles will be considered — no consultants or project managers.br/ /li /ul
