Head of Talent Management, Group HR

Position Description
The incumbent will report to General Manager, Talent & Culture. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing an integrated talent management strategy and learning & development strategy across entities. He/ She will serve as the subject matter expert and thought leader for all talent processes and learning & development initiatives, ensuring they are effective, data-driven, and aligned with business objectives. The role focuses on building a robust leadership pipeline, enhancing organizational capability and performance management, and fostering One HAECO culture.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership & Governance:
Develop and execute the group talent management strategy and roadmap, encompassing succession planning, leadership development, performance management, talent review, and career pathing.
Establish and govern the global standards, frameworks, and policies for all talent management processes.
Partner closely with entity HR and entity heads to understand business needs and ensure group talent strategies are effectively implemented and localized where necessary.
Lead the Group Talent Management COE team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Talent & Succession Planning:
Design and manage the enterprise-wide talent review and succession planning process (e.g., 9-Box calibration) for critical roles and senior leadership positions.
Identify critical roles and ensure robust, diverse succession slates are in place, with a focus on readiness and development.
Analyse talent data to identify trends, gaps, and risks in the talent pipeline and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
Performance Management:
Oversee the design and evolution of the group performance management framework to drive a high-performance culture.
Ensure the process is focused on continuous feedback, goal alignment, development, and fair evaluation.
Design and implement an effective performance management mechanism for front line employees.
Leadership Development:
Identify group-wide leadership capability gaps and design comprehensive development solutions to address them.
Develop and manage leadership development programs for high-potential (HiPo) employees and senior leaders.
Career Frameworks:
Design and implement group competency frameworks and career path framework to provide clarity on career paths and development requirements.
What You'll Need
Functional and other Relevant Experience
12+ years of progressive experience in HR, with a minimum of 8+ years in a dedicated talent management, leadership development, or succession planning role, preferably in a global, matrixed organization.
Proven experience in building and leading a Talent Management COE or similar function.
Deep, hands-on expertise in designing and implementing global talent processes (Succession Planning, Talent Review, Performance Management, Leadership Development).
Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written. Fluency in Putonghua.
