Technical Account Manager - About the Role:

An established international company in the field of industrial components and automation solutions is looking for a Technical account manager to join its growing business unit focused on motion and linear technology systems.

This unit specializes in customized mechanical solutions such as linear guides, aluminum profiles, lifting columns, cylinders, workstations, ergonomic platforms, and mechanical assemblies for a wide range of industries – from machine builders to automotive and chemical sectors.

As Sales Engineer, you will be the key contact for clients seeking tailored, high-quality technical solutions. You will be involved from the early design phase, helping clients shape their projects with a consultative, engineering-driven approach.


Technical Account Manager - Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strong relationships with project engineers, R&D teams, and purchasing departments.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solutions in collaboration with the internal engineering department.
  • Handle a portfolio 70% of your time of around 30–40 key accounts and ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Dedicate approximately 30% of your time to developing new business and identifying market opportunities.
  • Regular client visits across the BeLux region (approx. 3 days/week).
  • Attend trade fairs, client meetings, and occasional international events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to follow up on ongoing projects, quotes, and technical support.


Technical Account Manager - Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Good understanding of mechanical physics (load, force, torque, speed).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical concepts (voltage, current) and industrial control systems (PLCs, encoders, servo motors) is an asset.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably with mechanical or automation components.
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills — you enjoy working closely with clients to build long-term solutions.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English. Any other language is an asset.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and MS Office.
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
