About the position
As a Key Account Manager (m/f/d), you are responsible for managing and further developing an existing customer base in the Retail sector. You act as the central point of contact and interface between defined customers and the Flora Food Group.
What Are Your Responsibilities?
Customer Management and Support
- Build, maintain, and further develop business relationships with key customers in the Retail sector.
- Maintain regular communication and personal contact to understand the needs and requirements of customers.
- Develop tailored proposals and concepts for customer solutions.
Sales and Revenue Responsibility
- Take responsibility for achieving revenue targets and profit margins in your customer segment.
- Plan and implement sales strategies to increase sales volume, net sales value (NSV), and gross profit (GP) with existing customers.
- Identify customer potential and implement growth strategies.
Contract and Price Negotiations
- Lead price and contract negotiations with decision-makers on the customer side.
- Prepare and conclude framework agreements and long-term supply contracts.
Internal Collaboration and Project Management
- Work closely with internal departments such as product development, marketing, logistics, and customer service to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement new product innovations with existing customers.
Reporting and Analysis
- Create regular reports on sales development, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to ensure the success of key account strategies.
What Does It Take to Be Successful?
Professional Qualifications
- Ideally several years of experience in Key Account Management in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of the retail/trade industry and its specific requirements.
- International negotiation experience (e.g. Everest/Eurelec/Eureca).
- Having Category Management and/or Marketing background is a strong plus.
Personal Competencies
- High level of initiative and strong organizational skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and results-oriented approach.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Willingness to travel and flexibility.
- Fluency in English, Dutch and French.
