Financial Controller

Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Financial Controller (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Linden .

Our client is a fast growing company active in the investment sector .

As Financial Controller (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:

• Managing Accounting Operations for the group. The day-to day operational work is handled by the Investment Office Assistant.
• Financial Reporting: preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Preparing for the annual closing.
• Supporting management as a finance partner in ad hoc projects and business cases.
• Assisting in tax inspections, ensuring VAT filings and listings.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinating and directing budgetary processes and financial forecasts to align with the organisation's goals.
• Compliance and Audit Liaison: Ensuring adherence to statutory laws and financial regulations, and assisting in audits.
• Financial Analysis: Analysing financial data - conducting ad hoc analyses on financial results.
• Taking initiative in process optimization and ERP implementation.

• Project Management: Engage in various ad hoc projects and take responsibility for their end-to-end execution. Monitor each project's progress closely, maintain open communication with all involved parties, and ensure successful completion.
  • Example: Oversee the digitalisation of production processes, oversee the obligations to various authorities, such as excise duties, social legislation and prevention, FAVV (Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain), take charge in creating policies and others.
• HR: Coordinate and process monthly payroll, ensuring accurate salary calculations, benefits, and deductions in collaboration with the external payroll provider.
  Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, including workplace safety and data protection.

The required profile for the Financial Controller (m/f/x) position:

• Master degree
• At least 5 years of experience in Financial Controlling;
• Being able to handle diverse tasks at a strategic level while also enjoying being actively involved in the day-to-day operations and being willing to roll up their sleeves when necessary;
• Experience with hard HR is definitely a plus;
• M&A experience is a plus, not a requirement ;
• Leadership skills ;
• Communication skills ;
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills ;
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
