About Fuse
Fuse is a vertically integrated real estate operator on a mission to redefine urban living for students and young professionals. We identify underutilized properties in the CEE region and transform them into vibrant, community-driven living environments that combine high-quality housing, curated events, and a strong sense of belonging.
We’re currently active in Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Warsaw, Krakow, and Riga, and scaling rapidly to meet demand. With a strong product-market fit and operational track record, we’re now entering the next phase of our growth.
Your Role
As In-House Legal Counsel, you will be the cornerstone of our legal operations across multiple countries. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves variety, and wants to build the legal foundation of a European real estate scale-up.
You’ll work closely with the founding team, coordinate with city managers across jurisdictions, and shape how we handle everything from leasing and corporate structuring to GDPR and governance.
What you will be doing
- Legal Backbone: Take ownership of key legal processes across the company, ensuring smooth execution and compliance as we scale.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage lease agreements, management contracts, commercial terms, and other core documents.
- Documentation Strategy: Build and maintain a centralized legal document system for clear, consistent, and accessible use across the group.
- Cross-Border Coordination: Support our city teams with local legal matters while ensuring group-wide consistency and alignment.
- Strategic Advisor: Work closely with the founders to support key business decisions, investment deals, and expansion initiatives.
- Compliance Lead: Oversee GDPR, insurance, and governance across multiple entities and countries.
- Project Ownership: Lead legal projects and respond to ad-hoc initiatives — from structuring joint ventures to managing risk during tenant transitions.
What we are looking for
- Master’s degree in Law, with strong expertise in civil, commercial, and corporate law.
- 5+ years of experience in a top-tier law firm or as an in-house counsel, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to work independently, assess risk pragmatically, and manage projects from start to finish.
- Experience with real estate transactions, leasing, and property law is a strong plus.
- Excellent communicator who can simplify legal complexity for non-lawyers.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
