About Evos Ghent: Evos Ghent is located along the Ghent–Terneuzen Canal, our terminal offers a wide range of facilities for the storage and distribution of chemicals, biofuels and petroleum products. Our dedicated and highly skilled team is trained to handle these materials in full compliance with the latest safety and environmental standards. Evos Ghent employs approximately 85 people.

About the role: As the Manager Customer Service & Customs, you lead the Customer Service team and are responsible for optimizing customer processes and ensuring a customer‑focused terminal operation. Your role focuses on maintaining strong customer relationships, improving internal processes, and fostering collaboration between various departments, including Customer Service, Technical Services, Operations, Planning, Customs, and Sales.

You ensure compliance with customs legislation and, together with the customs team, guarantee the efficient handling of customs formalities and permits. With a proactive, data‑driven, and solution‑oriented approach, you contribute to high customer satisfaction, smooth customs processes, and efficient terminal operations, supporting both terminal capacity utilization and commercial objectives.

You are a member of the Management Team and the crisis team. Your team consists of 8 employees.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the full Order‑to‑Cash process.

  • Implementing and improving processes related to planning and customer management.

  • Acting as the escalation point in case of operational disruptions or customer issues that exceed the team's authority.

  • Ensuring compliance with customs and safety regulations in collaboration with the Customs Coordinator.

  • Leading, coaching, and developing your team.

  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus within the team and among relevant stakeholders.

  • Facilitating knowledge sharing and training within the team.

  • Actively contributing to digitalization and data‑driven decision‑making within Customer Service.


About you: 

  • Academic working and thinking level (Master's degree) in logistics or commercial/business sciences, combined with relevant experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the petroleum or chemical industry.

  • Experience in a tank terminal environment is an asset.

  • Proven track record in Customer Service.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
