European Plastics Converters (EuPC) is the leading EU-level trade association, based in Brussels (Belgium), representing the interests of the European plastics converting industry. Plastics converters use plastics raw materials and recycled polymers to manufacture new products. EuPC gathers 45 national associations and European plastics sector associations and represents more than 50,000 companies, producing over 50 million tons of plastic products every year.
The European plastics industry makes a significant contribution to the economy in Europe by enabling innovation, creating a quality of life for the citizens, and facilitating resource efficiency and climate protection. More than 1.6 million people are working in the EU converting companies (mainly SMEs), creating an annual turnover of €260 billion.
Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced EU Public Affairs & Association Manager to support and lead public affairs activities, particularly in the automotive sector, manage member relations, and coordinate strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will have a solid background in EU affairs and association management, with at least 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of European policy-making and industry advocacy, helping shape impactful legislation and ensuring members are effectively represented at the EU level.
Key Responsibilities
o Lead the monitoring and analysis of EU policy and legislative developments relevant to the plastic sector.
o Draft policy briefs, position papers, and responses to public consultations.
o Develop and implement advocacy strategies in coordination with the Director and members.
o Represent the organization at external meetings, EU institutions, stakeholder events, and industry coalitions.
o Act as the main contact for member organizations, ensuring strong engagement and service delivery.
o Support and facilitate working groups, committees, and expert meetings.
o Contribute to the development of membership strategies and expansion efforts.
o Prepare agendas, minutes, and documentation for internal governance meetings.
o Draft newsletters, statements, and policy updates for members and external stakeholders.
o Collaborate on communication campaigns to promote the association’s priorities and visibility.
