Communications Officer

ERTICO – ITS Europe is a public-private partnership of 120 companies and organisations representing service providers, suppliers, traffic and transport industry, research, public authorities, user organisations, mobile network operators, and vehicle manufacturers. ERTICO embodies thought leadership and fosters stakeholder engagement; Together with our partners, we develop, promote and deploy Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS) through a variety of activities including European co-funded projects, innovation platforms, international cooperation, advocacy and events. ERTICO is the organiser of the annual ITS regional and global Congress in Europe.

We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time

Communications Officer

Your role as Communications Officer is to carry out communications activities related to corporate. Such activities include the management of creation of corporate content and promotional material, development of project dissemination plans, communications material and channels, online promotion, social media marketing and event support.

What will be your main responsibilities?

• Management of the newsletters, compiling the content, writing, proofreading and editing
• Support new Website management and its implementation (Drupal)
• Social media management, mainly related to corporate channels
• Creation of brochures, videos and other corporate promotional material
• Conceptualise and carry out the external communications, ensuring that the set tasks are implemented in a timely matter
• Support to the production of annual video
• Monitor press articles and providing inputs for external media publications
• Support to corporate events and branding activities

What should you bring?

• At least 3 years’ experience in communications
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading and design layout skills are essential
• Excellent English oral and written skills (near-native level), additional languages are an advantage
• Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear messages
• Knowledge of Drupal, Adobe Creative Suite and various online tools (e.g. Sharepoint, MailChimp, SurveyMonkey, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Ability to work using own initiative and within a team
• Professionalism and creativity
