Do you want to play a key role in the energy transition? Elia Group's Works Procurement team is looking for a driven Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team.

Elia Group's Procurement team is located partly in Brussels and partly at 50Hertz' headquarters in Berlin. The department plays a key role in the construction of Elia's and 50Hertz's grid infrastructure, contributing actively and directly to energy transition.

The Works team is responsible for the strategic procurement for the execution of works in our high-voltage substations (electrical works and civil works) as well as works to be carried out on our high-voltage lines, pylons and underground cables. As well as the follow up of projects in progress (from a commercial and contractual point of view).

As Supplier Manager, you will have a wide range of responsibilities, including

• Maintain strategic relationships with our suppliers in order to understand the dynamics on the market.
• Visit of suppliers.
• Tracking, monitoring and mitigating issues with suppliers that impact project execution in coordination with buyers and other internal stakeholders
• Sharing knowledge and information from our suppliers
• Work side by side with passionate colleagues within the team (e.g. Buyers) so that you are aware of what is going on with certain suppliers during the tender phase. As well as with colleagues from other departments (e.g. Project Leaders) within Elia.

In addition, the following items may also be part of your tasks

• Support strategy for developing a particular category or specific projects.
• Participate in intra-departmental meetings (regarding strategies of certain categories).
• Collaboration with Qualification Manager to identify new suppliers.

Your Profile

• You have a master's degree in a technical or commercial field or have a economical background through experience.
• You have a strong technical affinity.
• You can work autonomously but attach great importance to a team.
• You are analytical, strong communicator, persuasive and dare to question existing issues.
• You are fluent in Dutch and French and have a good knowledge of English.

It's an asset if you

• Have experience within procurement / supplier management
• Have experience with SAP and/or Ariba
• Have experience in project management
• Have experience with MS office and/or PowerBI

Salary
